Dragon Armor’s 1:72 scale static Mid Production StuG. IV #122 is a true to scale die-cast model that is depicted perfectly with great attention to detail and historical accuracy. Showcasing a Mid Production StuG IV from a unit serving in Italy in 1944, this model features a realistic weathered finish with sand camouflage, green stripes and tactical number, and the correct Saukopfblende mantlet and a full set of armour skirts. Dragon Armor is a very collectible series of models offering well researched models at sensible prices. This model is presented on a plinth with an acrylic display case.

The StuG III was a highly successful vehicle for Germany, but when the Alkett factory was heavily bombed by Allied aircraft, production of the StuG III ground to a halt. The expedient solution was to place a StuG III superstructure, with associated 7.5cm StuK40 L/48 gun, onto a Panzer IV hull and chassis. This trial vehicle was ordered into full production on 6 December 1943.
