A finely detailed Douglas DC-8-30 in the original colours of KLM. Featuring all the refinements one expects from Herpa, including Tampo printed livery and accurate aircraft modelling and detail.

With the DC-8, Douglas was heading for just another success story in Europe, which was to last twenty more years. At KLM, the DC-8 series -50 and -63 were purchased later as well, which provided the type with more than twenty-five years of service. Along with the almost simultaneous introduction of the revolutionary DC-8, KLM gave itself a new corporate identity as well, and many say it was the best it has ever had. The first Herpa model of a DC-8 will carry that livery, and the registration PH-DCE.
