Herpa Wings British Airways Concorde Landor Colours
REF:561808 Scale 1.400 Length 152mm Wingspan 60mm
An experimental joint venture between British Airways and Texan airline Braniff flying a British Airways Concorde (registered G-BOAE) on services between Dallas and London via Washington created lots of attention for both airlines and the majestic Concorde, raising the hope that Concorde could at last be sold to an American carrier. Not all this attention though was positive with the anti noise lobbyists forcing the airlines to fly subsonic over American airspace and finally winning a court battle to stop the service altogether. The airplane is released in the 1/400 scale with the old British Airways Landor livery.
All the die-cast aircraft from the Herpa Wings range are made to an exceptionally high standard, both in terms of the detailed Tampo printed liveries and the quality of the construction. Die-Cast-Collector is proud to be an official distributor of Herpa products.
