This model depicts the Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 flown by German fighter ace and Olympic athlete Major Hans “Assi” Hahn. Scoring 108 aerial victories Hahn and the Bf109 proved to be formidable opponents for allied aircrews during the Battle of Britain and numerous aerial confrontations over France during WW2.

This was the most widely used of all the German fighters and was produced in huge numbers, initially serving during the Spanish Civil War. The Bf 109F displayed much sleeker lines than the Bf 109e and enjoyed huge success in the deserts of North Africa and the Russian Steppe. This stunning model displays a highly detailed speckled paint scheme, carefully researched with authentic markings.
